Son of Carl August Gotthilf and Mary Jane (nee Rounsevell) Meyer; husband of Liliy May Meyer of Moora, Western Australia
Brother of Francis August Walter Meyer, Elfriede Elizabeth Meyer, Guenhilda Ethel Meyer, Florence Edna Meyer, Elizabeth Meyer, Edward Martin Meyer who was killed in action on 3 September 1918 having served with the 51st Battalion, Frank Rounswill Meyer who returned to Australia on 5 April 1918 having served with the 14 Field Artillery Brigade and August Carl Meyer who died of illness on 5 December 1918 having served with the 2nd Divisional Signal Company
