5340 Private (Pte) James Alphonse Brady 16th Battalion, of Albany, WA, formerly of Galway, Ireland, was a carpenter prior to enlisting in March 1916.

He embarked on board HMAT Aeneas (A60) on 17 April 1916. Pte Brady served in Belgium and France and was killed in action at Bullecourt, on 11 April 1917. He was 34 years of age.
