'PERSONAL.
Mr. William Robert Rayner died in Sydney on Monday morning, after a comparatively short illness. He was well-known in Maryborough, previous to enlisting in the 47th Battalion. He served for upwards of four years receiving high encomiums for his valour, and in addition to being promoted to quarter-master-sergeant on the field of battle, he also won and received the Military Medal.
