Son of Stuart Hood Lamond and Louise Lamond.

Brother of Alexander Lamond who died of wounds at sea on 4 May 1915 while serving with the 13th Battalion and has no known grave commemorated on Lone Pine Memorial, Panel 38 and Sidney Lamond who died of wounds on 15 August 1915 while serving with the 1st Battalion and is buried in Pieta Military Cemetery Plot B, Row V1, Grave 5
