Commenced return to Australia on 3 May 1919 aboard HT Leicestershire disembarking on the 21 June 1919

During 1922c Charles married Edna Evelyn Mann in Victoria

Medals: British War Medal, Victory Medal. Charles was recommended for the Military Medal for his work under heavy shell fire while with the 2 Divisional Signal but appears not  to have been awarded
