Biography contributed by Carol Foster

Son of Thomas and Mary Shillito of Steel's Creek, Victoria, Brother of Christina (nee Shillito) Millar of Albert Park, Victoria

SHILLITO.- In loving memory of our dear son, Donald Robert (Don) Shillito, killed in action between 25th and 28th April, 1915, at Gallipoli, aged 23 years.
He never shunned his country's call,
But gladly gave his life, his all;
He died the helpless to defend,
An Australian soldier's noble end.
-(Inserted by his loving mother and father, Thomas and Mary Shillito.)

SHILLITO.- In loving memory of our dear brother Donald Robert (Don) Shillito, killed in action between 25th and 28th April, 1915, at Gallipoli.
"When duty called, he failed not."
Oh, God, grant us the victory that so good and
noble a life has not been given in vain.
