He was 18 and the son of the late William and Margaret Hendry Craig.

He is remembered on the East Kilbride, War Memorial.

Also remembered on this memorial is Private Andrew McKenzie Rose Service Number 310-Died 25/04/1918, Aged 28-18th Bn. Australian Infantry, A.I.F.Son of Alexander Rose. Interred-VALENCIENNES (ST. ROCH) COMMUNAL CEMETERY-Grave V. B. 13.

When enlisting he gave his age as 21 years which was incorrect according to his older brother H.M. Craig

Medals: 1914-15 Star sent to a brother in London, England, British War Medal, Victory Medal the latter two medals were issued to his brother H.M. Craig of Bankstown, NSW under bond
