Name on NZ BDM is spelt Hubert Oram.
Son of Hubert Oram and Mary Jane Oram nee Young of Hepburn Street, Ponsonly, Auckland, NZ.
Served his printing apprenticeship with Varley Bros of Melbourne, Victoria.
Commenced return to Australia on 24 June 1916 aboard HT Port Sydney 22 July 1916
