Son of Alfred and Sarah Laugher of 'Bismark', Prince of Wales Bay, Moonah, Tasmania formerly of Collins Vale, Tasmania. Brother of William Laugher who died on 8 January 1918 from injuries received when a mortar ran over him while serving with the 13th Field Ambulance and is buried in Tincourt New British Cemetery, Plot 1V, Row C, Grave 37
