Son of James and Agnes CAMPBELL, Plane Creek Hill, Savina, Mackay, Queensland

The Acting-Mayor was advised on Wednesday that Corporal J. E. Campbell, son of Mr. J. F. Campbell, Palms Estate, had died in the 4th. General Hospital of a gunshot wound in the back of the head. The message contained the sympathy of the Kng and Queen and the Commonwealth Government.
