8 Aug 1915: Wounded AIF WW1, Private, 1659, 7th Infantry Battalion, The August Offensive - Lone Pine, Suvla Bay, Sari Bair, The Nek and Hill 60 - Gallipoli, BW to leg (compound fracture) sustained at Lone Pine. Evacuated to Malta, where he later died of septicaemia on 30 August 1915.
