Brother of Percy Fredrick Hack who return to Australia on 8 February 1920  having served with the 4th Pioneer Battalion, Cecil Herbert Hack who returned to Australia on 26 August 1919 having served with the 5th Light Horse Regiment, Florence Louisa Hack and Walter George Hack

Commenced return to Australia 21 March 1919 aboard HT Kildorian Castle disembarking on 15 May 1919
