"...136A Private Alexander McKernan, 1st Australian General Hospital, of Euroa, Vic. A farmer prior to enlistment, he embarked from Melbourne, Victoria aboard RMS Mooltan on18 May 1915. McKernan transferred to the 3rd Field Ambulance with the rank of Driver in January 1916. He was killed in action on 31 October 1917, aged 32." - SOURCE (www.awm.gov.au)
