Add my storyBiography contributed by Helen digan
From the Goulburn Evening Penny Post, 1 Nov 1917.
The Braidwood District Nows records that Lt Horace Rex was killed in France on Oct 7. He commenced his military career in the senior cadets, and in due courso passed into theCitizen Forces. He was promoted to the
rank of sergeant, and afterwards gained his
commission. Last year, when the compulsory sections of the Defence Act were put into force, and all single eligibles were mobilised for training, Lt. Rex was appointed on the Instructional Staff, and was stationed at Goulburn and various other centres. He sailed for the front 12 months ago and was 22 years of age. At Braidwood he was secretary to the P.P. Board and sec[retary] to the hospital.
