Son of George Robert and Sarah Jane WOOLLEY of Glen Huon, Tas.
This week the sad news was conveyed to Councillor G. R. Woolley of Glen Huon, that his son, Lance corporal Clement Woolley, had been killed in action in France. Some time ago the young soldier was reported missing. He was only 19 years of age at the time he enlisted, nearly two years ago, when he was showing great promise of attaining prominence as a scholar. Educated at the Friends High School, Hobart, Lance-corporal Woolley entered the Phillip Smith Training College at the opening of that institution, and subsequently became a student of the Hobart University and head-master of the Roseberry State School. He was also a member of the Mercantile Rowing Club .
