Weekly Courier Thursday Aug 3 1916, From Nicki Smythe, Tasmania in the Great War
All three of the TAYLOR Triplets enlisted in the Great War. Children of William Taylor and Clara Winduss. the triplets were born in 1893 in Sheffield . The 3 Boys all went to war. Pte Aubrey John William Taylor was KIA by a shell on 17/71917 at Messines Ridge, Belgium, Pte Raymond Arthur Isaac Taylor killed in 1918, France and Pte Garnet Charles Robert Taylor (RTA) and died in Victoria 3/6/1953. But what a sad Story. Poor Clara lost her husband William in 1895 age 29 to cancer in the eye and then to lose 2 of the 3 triplets in the war.
