3733 Private John Kearn Fletcher, of Mooralla, Vic. An electrician prior to enlisting in July 1915, John Fletcher embarked from Melbourne with the 12th Reinforcements, 7th Infantry Battalion, on board HMAT Cermaic (A40) on 23 November 1915. Pte Fletcher later transferred to the 59th Battalion and was killed in action in Fromelles, France, on 19 July 1916. He was 31 years of age.
