Mr. R. Corkhill, of Canberra, received word last week that his brother, Private William Corkill, had died in hospital from a wound received in France while fighting in the trenches. Previous to enlisting deceased was a boatswain on a line of ships trading to Australia and left with Lieut. Carmichael's Thousand.
