Unit embarked from Adelaide on board HMAT A48 Seang Bee on 13 July 1916.
AWOL 6 October 1916 to 9 October 1916; awarded 7 days CC, 1 days pay.
Proceeded to France, Etaples, England.
Appointed Lance Corporal, December 1916.
Reported missing in action 11 April 1917. Court of enquiry 29 December 1917 determined he was killed in action 11 April 1917 at Bullecourt, France.
