Private Sydney Herbert Worsford Moore (Service No:3064) enlisted in the AIF on 27 March 1916 and was posted to 51st Infantry Battalion. Private Moore was attached to 10th Light Horse Regiment when he embarked from Fremantle for Suez on board HMAT A45 Bulla on 27 January 1917. Private Moore embarked from Port Said for the RTA on 10 April 1919 on board HT Khyber and was attached to 10th Light Horse Regiment at Discharge on 8 September 1919.

In WWII, Driver Moore (Service No:W243328) served with 10th Garrison Battalion from 23 December 1939 (having given his DoB as 1899 in his Attestation Papers - ten years younger than his actual age). Driver Moore was attached to Western Command RAA at Discharge on 11 December 1947.

Born in 1888 in Sydney NSW, Sydney was eldest of six children of Richard Charles Moore (b1867 in Dorset, England) and Mary Elizabeth Smith (b1866 in Canada). Richard (a Farm Labourer) and Mary married in 1888 in Sydney, NSW and moved to Western Australia with their two children in 1891. Richard and Mary settled in Perth where they raised their family and Richard was a Dairyman until his death by drowning in 1909.

Sydney worked in Perth as a Dairyman and Wool Worker, serving in WWI and WWII, and caring for his mother and siblings following his father's death. Sydney died in 1964.
