Next of kin given as his brother Charles Parker Kirby of 'Roslyn', North Dorrigo, NSW. who died of wounds on 18 February 1917 while serving with the 33rd Battalion and is buried in the Boulogne Eastern Cemetery, Plot V11, Row B, Grave 13

John's Father, John Peter Kirby was born in Blything, Suffolk in 1855. He married Annie Susannah Hopkins in Highworth, Swindon in December 1879.
