Son of George C. Urquhart and Rhoda Urquhart nee Smith of Grace Street, Malvern, Victoria formerly of Stanhope Street, Malvern, Victoria. Brother of Gordon Stuart Urquhart who returned to Australia on 2 September 1919 having served with the 3rd Machine Gun Battalion.
1 May 1916 - enlisted at Prahran, Victoria with the 46th Battalion and with the rank of Private.
18 September 1917 - wounded in action. Wound to the left femur
