Born at Serviceton in 1894, Maurice worked as an Engine Cleaner in Serviceton for SA Railways prior to enlisting for service during WWI on 4 September 1915 in Adelaide. Maurice was Stationmaster at Sedan for many years before transferring to Victor Harbor in 1944.
