Invalided to England on the 14 July 1917 and admitted to the Royal Victoria Hospital, Netley, Hampshire, England. Transferred to the Auxiliary Hospital on 7 August 1917. Proceeded overseas to France 10 November 1917. Marched out to the front on 15 November 1917 and rejoined unit in the field. Admitted to hospital 20 February 1918, then rejoined unit 9 March 1918. Wounded (2nd occurence), gassed, on 17 April 1918. Admitted to 3rd Stationary Hospital, Rouen, France, 19 April 1918.
