His birth was registered in Hendon, which at the time was in the county of Middlesex. He served with the 9th Bn. Australian Infantry- A.I.F. Service Number 1146. He was 22 and the son of Mr H.J.Hunt of 42, Chelmsford Avenue, Southend. In the United Kingdom, he is commemorated on the Prittlewell Roll of Honour and on the war memorial in nearby Priory Park.
