19195 Private Evan Thomas, Army Medical Corps, was an 18 year old dental assistant from Parkside, South Australia who enlisted on 28 June 1917. Priot to enlistment he had been a member of the Adelaide Rowing Club whence this inforrmation was sourced.
He embarked for overseas with the Medical Corps General Reinforcements from Melbourne on 28 February 1918 aboard HMAT Nestor. After serving in France with the 13th Field Ambulance and the 4th Division Headquarters, he arrived back in Australia on 7 September 1919.
