Frank Rosea Aitkin

Frank Rosea Aitkin ( 1886 Paddington NSW - 1943 Manly, aka Charlie) is related to Frank Keith Aitkin (WW1) who appears on this VWM web site. Frank Rosea Aitkin is the son of Albert Aitkin (1864-1933) and Deborah Lea (1866-1939).
Albert was the son on George Cruikshank Aitkin (1804 Sct - 1892 Paddington).

George Cruikshank Aitkin had several children one of whom was George Morehead Aitkin (1846 Hobart - 1938 Sydney.), and Frank Keith Aitkin was the illegt. son of the said George Morehead Aitkin.

Frank Rosea Aitkin married Edith Latta in 1914. Their first child was born and died that year. They went on to have Edith V in 1915, Leonard Anthony in 1921 and a further child some years latter named Harry.

Leonard Anthony Aitkin went on to serve in WW2 and on discharge on 1/12/1942 his posting was 2 Australian Div Concert Party.

Frank Rosea Aitkin returned to Australia in 1919. His service history is well documented in his WW1 Personnel Records.
