Burdett Philip NETTLETON was born on 15th March, 1889 in Sydney, NSW
His parents were Samuel NETTLETON & Emily LAYCOCK
He enlisted on 27th August, 1914 to serve during WW1 and embarked with the 1st Light Horse Regiment, B Squadron from Sydney on the HMAT Star of Victoria on 20th October, 1914
Burdett was Killed in Action at Gallipoli on 7th August, 1915 - no known grave
His name is memorialised on the Australian War Memorial & the Lone Pine Memorial
