"...At the meeting of the Bothwell Municipal Council last Week the Warden (Councillor N J. Wise) referred with deep regret to the death since last meeting of Private A. C. Blake, and said that he was sure they all sincerely sympathised with Mr. and Mrs. Blakein the loss which they had sustained. He moved that a letter of condolence be sent to Mr. and Mrs. Blake, and that a similar letter be sent to Mrs. Webster, whose son (Private T. L. Webster) had also given his life in defence of his King and country. The motion was carried." - from the Hobart Mercury 18 Oct 1915 (nla.gov.au)
