"...2153 Private (later Lance Corporal) Thomas Gregory, 20th Battalion of Parramatta, NSW. An ironworker prior to enlisting, he embarked from Sydney aboard the HMAT Argyllshire (A8) on 30 September 1915. A British Army Boer War veteran, he died, aged 36, on 5 May 1916 at the 8th Casualty Clearing Station, France from gunshot wounds received in action at Bois Grenier, France on 3 May 1916. He is buried in the Bailleul Communal Cemetery Extension, France." - SOURCE (www.awm.gov.au)
