"...1219 Private Sylvester Albert Rice, 13th Battalion. A Labourer prior to enlistment Pte Rice embarked from Melbourne aboard HMAT Ulysses (A38) on 22 December 1914. He served on Gallipoli and was killed in action on 9 August 1915; he was 20 years old. His two brothers Henry Phillip and Edward Charles were also killed in the First World War; and all within a year of each other." - SOURCE (www.awm.gov.au)
