Son of Denis O'Shea and Minnie O'Shea nee Hanlon of Harcourt Street, New Farm, QLD.
Brother of Timothy O'Shea who returned to Australia on 12 January 1920 having served with the Fielld Ambulance and Pay Corps.
Commenced return to Australia on 1 April 1919 aboard HT Shropshire disembarking on 16 May 1919 at Melbourne, re-embarked HT Dongala on 17 May 1919 for onward travel to Brisbane
