There is nor record of how Eric Davis met his end at Gallipoli on 2 May 1915, nor does he have a known grave. He was only still only 19 years of age.

His slightly older brother 1645 Private Richard Roy Davis 15th Battalion AIF was killed in action a week later on 9 May 1915, age 21.
