Son of Stephen Pople and Catherine Pople nee Grieg
Next of kin given as James Thomas Pople of Cassilis, Victoria who returned to Australia on 20 January 1917 having served with the 23 Battalion; David Pople of Northcote, Victoria; Henry Pople who was killed in action on 27 July 1916 while serving with the 22 Battalion and was buried in the Pozieres British Cemetery. Plot 111, Row J, Grave 25; John Robert Pople who returned to Australia on 15 May 1919 having served with the 4th Light Horse Regiment and Mary Cummings nee Pople
