Next of kin given as James Thomas Pople of Cassilis, Victoria who returned to Australia on 20 January 1917 having served with the 23 Battalion; David Pople of Northcote, Victoria; Henry Pople who was killed in action on 27 July 1916 while serving with the 22 Battalion and was buried in the Pozieres British Cemetery.
