Add my storyBiography contributed by Paul Trevor
The two enlisted children of William Aitchison and Christina Bartholomew Douglas (née Pryde) Aitchison of Esk, Queensland:-
16808 Dvr. Roy Stuart Aitchison (/explore/people/656706) - returned to Australia;
452 Cpl. (Angus) Garnet Aitchison - returned to Australia.
From serching the historical birth records of Queensland's Births, Deaths and Marriages I confirmed that 452 Corporal Garnet Aitchison was actually born Angus Garnet Aitchison, which is also supported by his cremation records at Mt Thompson Memorial Gardens, through period newspapers (Trove) with pre-enlistment articles. A Statutory Declaration, declaring his true and correct name and notations indicating required changes is also included on his Attestation Paper and Service Record.
