Born at Bundaberg, and educated at Gin Gin. The son of John and Susan (nee McLeod) Scott, of Bullyard, Mt. Perry Line. Enlisted 22nd April, and entered camp 5th May. Left on November 9th, 1916, per troopship "Benalla," for England. Left for France June, and joined the 42nd Battery August, 1917. Was gassed in September, 1917, and sent to Rouen Hospital. Rejoined unit December, 1917, and remained until Armistice was signed. Left for England in March, and for Australia 13th May, 1919, per S.S. "Port Napier." Arrived in Brisbane 6th July.
