William was one of 9 children (7 brothers - George, Fred, Arthur, Jim, Alfed, Jack and Victor and a sister and youngest, Esther) who were born to nurseryman Josiah and Esther at Clare, Suffolk, England.
Younger brother, Arthur and his wife, moved to Australia, in 1900 and established Dindiloa farm north of Geraldton, WA.
William, his mother, and sister Esther joined Arthur in 1905.
William, aged 35, departed Freemantle aboard HMAT Horotara on 26th April, 2016 and tragically passed away on 10th August 2016.
