Son of William Stirling Millington and Alice Millington nee Gould of 'Coseley ' Axedale, Victoria. Brother of Frank Gould Millington who returned to Australia on 17 December 1918 having served with the 7th Battalion

Driver Harry Lees was attached to the 4th ALH Regiment's machine gun section and was killed in action on 27 November 1915 during the Turkish attack on the Light Horse positions at Ryrie's Post, Gallipoli.
