Son of John Cabassi and Susan Cabassi nee Patterson of Greenbushes, WA formerly of Walhalla, Victoria
Between 6 June 1919 and 6 August 1919 he worked with the Victoria Cinema College, London to gain experience in Cinema Operating where he received a certificate stating he had completed the course with a very satisfactory standard
Commenced return to Australia on 20 August 1919 aboard HT Anchises disembarking on the 5 October 1919
