Devonport (Tasmania) and Surrounds - A Pictorial History
Dvr Alfred Robert (Barney) Keen also born in Ringarooma then spent the next 20 plus years living at Latrobe. His father was Joseph keen the local butcher. Joseph is the brother of Edgar Keen the leading Jeweler of Devonport. After the war, Alfred takes over the fathers butcher shop but it fails. His father never took to his wife that he married in England 1917 while in the war. Alfred returns to England in 1923, his wife dies in 1938. He later remarries 2nd time in 1939 and dies sometime later possibly in Epping, Essex England. Photo of Alfred Robert (Barney) and his brother Charles Harold Keen.
