Son of Robert Smart Adams and Elizabeth Adams nee McKenzie of Mulgoa Road, Penrith, NSW.
On 6 December 1918 Leslie was repatriated to England as ex-POW
Leslie married Margaret Shaw Ramsay on 19 August 1919 in Glasgow, Scotland. Minister John Gibb Duncan officiated. Margaret passed away at Lithgow, NSW during 1925
