Son of Robert Smart Adams and Elizabeth Adams nee McKenzie of Mulgoa Road, Penrith, NSW.

On 6 December 1918 Leslie was repatriated to England as ex-POW

Leslie married Margaret Shaw Ramsay on 19 August 1919 in Glasgow, Scotland. Minister John Gibb Duncan officiated. Margaret passed away at Lithgow, NSW during 1925

Husband of Pearl Ateal Adams nee Burton. Leslie and Pearl married in Lithgow, NSW during 1929

Commenced return to Australia on 12 July 1919 aboard HT Indorra disembarking on 9 September 1919
