MR. G. V. GARLAND
The funeral of Mr. George Victor Garland, of Ulverstone, who died at Longford on Friday evening, took place in thc Carr Villa Cemetery on Monday afternoon. Mr. Garland was a member of the 12th Battalion, 1st A.I.P., and later of the 1st Div. Pioneers.
Rev. F. L. Hadrill conducted services at the church and graveside. Chief mourners were the widow (Mrs. Blanche Garland), Messrs. Douglas  (Launceston) and Percy Garland (Wynyard), brothers; Mrs. J Garland (Launceston), step mother; Messrs. Allan Wilfred, Aubrey and Douglas  Jones. S. Bingham. J. Spence and A. Phillips (brothers in-law).
Pallbearers were Messrs. H. H. Hills, H. J. Bracken, S. G. Draper and H. Bearup. 
Mr. Bearup, representing returned servicemen, took part in the service at the graveside.
