Son of Thomas Urquhart and Mary Grave Urquhart nee Sherwell of Hannah Street, Kargoorlie, WA

Prior to enlisting he had served with the Citizen Military Forces for about 2 years.

Commenced return to Australia on 12 July 1919 aboard the City of Exeter disembarking on 16 August 1919

During 1944c Thomas married Phoebe Martha Doyle in North Perth, WA.
