"THE LATE LANCE-SERGEANT H. E. CRAWFORD.
Lance-Sergeant Horace E. Crawford was the fourth son of Mr. and Mrs. William Crawford, of Sixth-avenue, St. Peters, and left Australia on December 2, 1915. After spending some months in Egypt he went to France, and participated in the "big push" on the Western front, where he met his death. He was 29 years of age, and had been employed in the warehouse of Messrs. G. & R. Wills & Co." - from the Adelaide Chronicle 11 Nov 1916 (nla.gov.au)
