Son of Frederick William and Ada MCGLASHAM, Spring Hill, New South Wales
Private Fred McGlashan, who has been reported misclng, is 21 years of age. He is the only son of Mr. and Mrs. F. W. McGlashan, of Lidcombe. Hc enlisted with the first lot of recruits on August 11, 1914, and served in the New Guinea campaign at Rabaul. He remained there six months, but enlisted again immediately on his return. Before enlisting he was a traveller for the Singer Machine Company. He has three cousins serving the colours.
