Harold Edward ROWELL (1881-1951)
Harold Edward Rowell (1881-1951), was a younger brother of LTCOL Frank Milton Rowell, CO 9th Light Horse Regiment at Gallipoli, and part of the Rowell 'military dynasty' of South Australia. He was born in Lockleys and served with the 43rd Infantry Battalion during World War 1. He attained the rank of Captain in May 1916.
His only son, John (known as 'Jack') Harold ROWELL, was killed in action in New Guinea in WW2.
