Son of Patrick O'Keefe and Margaret Mary O'Keefe nee Maroney of Hooper Street, West Ipswich, QLD.
On 29 April 1915 Patrick returned to Australia on 3 January 1916 aboard HS Commonwealth for nursing duties. Patrick returned to England on 5 June 1916 aboard HT Borda disembarking at Southampton, England on 23 July 1916
Commenced return to Australia on 25 July 1919 aboard HT Takada disembarking on 7 September 1919 at Melbourne for onward travel to Brisbane
