Next of kin given as his brother Eric M. Armstrong and Mrs Weir,'Tegumae', Cowles Road, Mosman, NSW. Brother of Allan Seymour Armstrong who returned to Australia on 8 October 1918 having served with the 7th Light Horse and 14th Field Artillery Brigade

The date of death is not certain; it could be between  06/08/1915 and 09/08/1915.

He was 27 and lived in Seaview Road , Leigh-on-Sea and later, Cromer Road,  Southend.

In the United Kingdom, he is honoured on the war memorial  now in Prittlewell Priory, Southend-on-Sea, Essex.
