The two enlisted children of William Arkell and Alice Bertha (née Cardinal) Arkell of Alderley, Queensland:-

3432 Pte. James Celtec Arkell (/explore/people/136916) - returned to Australia;

64999 Pte. William Arthur Arkell - returned to Australia.

Private William Arkell was discharged on the 28 December 1918 due to the termination of his period of enlistment caused by the cessation of hostilities.
