Son of James Horrocks and Margaret Ann Horrocks nee (Mc?) Kee. James returned to Australia on 17 October 1916 having served with the 4th Field Company Engineers.

Brother of Edwin James Horrocks who died of wounds on 18 September 1915 while serving with the 28th Battalion and has no known grave. Edwin's name appears on the Lone Pine Memorial, Panel 68. Also brother of Isabella Adeline E. Horrocks, John Gordon Horrocks, Jane Horrocks, Alexander Ralph Horrocks and Alice Myrtle Horrocks
